Chineta Apple Petree 

April 27, 1922-May 21, 2014 

Mrs. Chineta Apple Petree, age 92 of Clemmons, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Trinity Elms Assisted Living. Mrs. Petree was born in Rockingham County on April 27, 1922 to the late Robert Apple and the late Ella Dye Apple, and she was married to the late Warren (Pete) Petree. She was a proud graduate of Mineral Springs High School, retired from J.C. Penney, a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 45 years, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and The White Shrine before her health declined. She was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Stinson, Helen Kimsey, and baby sister Lula Apple; brothers, Cleo Apple, Clyde Apple and Curtis Apple. Survivors include her daughter, Charita Hill and husband, Gary; granddaughter, Brittany Jordan Cole; special niece, Kaye Stone and other nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Friday, May 23, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Trinity Elms at 3750 Harper Rd., Clemmons, NC 27012.
