Ronald “Kris” Abshire

Ronald “Kris” Abshire, 50, of Clemmons NC, joined our heavenly father on July 8, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Curtis Abshire, his brothers Chuck and Barry Abshire. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Gina Abshire. He is also survived by his daughter Erica Abshire (Blake), and his son Kristopher Abshire, his mother Jane Scanlon and sister Jennifer Abshire, his best friends Raymond Corriher and Rich Pope. He owned his own business in Clemmons for 20 years. He was an active member of the Jonestown Civic Club and Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He was a beloved Cub and Boy Scout leader for 15 years. He loved his family and friends deeply. He enjoyed fishing, camping, dirt bike and golf cart riding. He was very active father and grandfather and enjoyed life to the fullest. His body was cremated and a service was held at Pine Grove United Methodist Church on Jonestown Road on Friday July 11, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Hope Lung Cancer 5K, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Mailbox 19, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
