On January 2 at 5:21 PM the Clemmons, Lewisville, Forsyth County Fire and Forsyth County EMS departments were dispatched to 943 Parker Court for a reported house fire. Once on the scene at 5:23 PM fire units found a house with flames coming through the roof. While extinguishing the fire, firefighters located an unresponsive and unconscious female occupant of the home. After removing the female occupant, Firefighters performed CPR, but life saving efforts were unsuccessful. The victim is identified as Dorothy C Harris, 75 of the listed address. At this time, the involved home appears to be a total loss. Early damages estimates are exceeding $150,000. Also, located in the fire were three dogs that perished. The fire and cause of death remain under investigation by the Forsyth County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
