Paul Raymond Justus

Paul Raymond Justus, 79, of Advance, NC, passed away on January 23, 2018.
He was born on February 3, 1938 in Alleghany County, PA to C.R. and Irene Justus. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Paul was retired from Federal Aviation Association. Over the last 50 years, he was a member of several Masonic Lodges. Paul was an active Oasis Shriner. He had many hobbies, including being a car enthusiast and traveling in his R.V.
In his later years, Paul found a real enjoyment in music. He played in Shriner bands and the Moravian band. Paul really enjoyed getting together with friends and “pickin.”
Wade Beitel, a student of Paul’s, said he “was an aviator, mentor, teacher, tough examiner, and a fine man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother-in-law, Howard Donalies. Paul leaves behind his daughters, Deborah Braswell, Suzanne Jutus, Carol (Brandon) Mackey, Jean Justus, and Kimberly (Bryan) Justus-Walsh; his granddaughter, Nicole Mackey; his grandson, Jordon Mackey; his sister, Janet Donalies; his companion, Barbara Martin, his dog, Cleo; and many other loved ones and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 27th at 11am at Clemmons Moravian Church, 3535 Spangenberg Ave. Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home, Clemmons Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
