Dorothy Rae Wilson Boyles
Mrs. Dorothy Rae Wilson Boyles, 88, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County on August 19, 1929 to the late Joseph Edwin and Clemmie Boyles Wilson. Preceding her in death was her husband, Harley Gray Boyles. Mrs. Boyles graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School in 1947 and worked for Briggs-Shaffner until she left to start a family. Dot devoted the remainder of her life to her beloved husband, Harley Gray and raising her fivechildren, grands, and great-grands. She was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church. Mrs. Boyles was an avid reader and cookbook collector, and she enjoyed playing the piano as well as playing cards. Dot was a fabulous cook and famous for her fried chicken. Surviving are her children, Keith Boyles (Dora), Anne Boyles Justus (Scott), Dale Boyles Darnell (Cliff), Jamie Boyles, and Blake Boyles (Cindy); grandchildren, Chris Traynor, Jill Justus, Jordie Justus Kerwin (Patrick), Matthew Darnell (Kelli), Sam Darnell (Haley), Alex Gutierrez (Maria), Jake Boyles (Holly) and Ashley Teague (Nick); great-grandchildren, Lando, Harlie Rae, Evangeline, Ynez, and baby girl Darnell due in August; also surviving is her cherished Chihuahua, “Poppy.” A memorial service was held 3:00 PM Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Dennis Conner officiating. The family received friends following the service. The family would like to thank the staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Hospice Davie Team, Trinity Elms, and Dr. John F. Davis for the love and care given to our Mom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B.
