UNC-Asheville honors

• Brianna Welsh — dean’s list
The chancellor’s list is made up of full-time students who have achieved a 4.0 grade point average. The dean’s list is made up of full-time students who have achieved between 3.5 and 3.99 grade point average.

Brown graduates basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class James N. Brown graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Brown is the son of Douglas and Amanda Brown and grandson of Frankie McNally, all of Clemmons.

He is a 2017 graduate of North Davidson High School, Lexington.
