Johnson, Shortt receive municipal clerk certificates

Clemmons Village Clerk Lisa Shortt and Winston-Salem City Secretary Melanie Johnson were recognized for achieving their NCCMC (North Carolina Certified Municipal Clerk) certificates at the annual summer academy conference for the North Carolina Association of Municipal Clerks. The association, in cooperation with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, the School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the North Carolina League of Municipalities in Raleigh, provides a professional vehicle for city, town and village clerks across the state with continuing professional educational development.
