New president and CEO named for Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center

WINSTON-SALEM — Novant Health is pleased to announce that Dr. John Mann has been named the new president and chief operating officer at Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center in Clemmons.
Mann replaces former president and chief operating officer Chad Setliff, who recently moved into the same role at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
In addition to his new responsibilities at Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center, Mann will continue in his role as Novant Health system surgical service line physician leader, a position he has held with the not-for-profit health care system since 2016. Before that, Mann served as the surgical service line physician leader for Novant Health’s greater Winston-Salem market from 2014 to 2016 and as a practicing general surgeon in the Winston-Salem market since 1998.
Mann earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and completed his medical degree as well as a general surgery residency from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. He finished his minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center is a 36-bed hospital offering emergency, imaging, laboratory, surgery and orthopedic services. The medical center first opened in April 2013 and was expanded to a full-service hospital in August 2017 to provide critical services to the growing Clemmons community.
