On Saturday, April 27, the Village of Clemmons Stormwater Department hosted its annual Spring Cleanup to help keep trash out of our waterways. The beautiful weather brought out 192 students, residents, and participants from many different organizations and businesses to cover 27.8 miles of roadways within the Village of Clemmons. This great turnout resulted in 130 bags of trash and recyclables collected, helping beautify Clemmons and keeping our waterways clean.

Sponsors for the cleanup included Biscuitville, Clemmons Family Dental, Clemmons Trace Village Apartments, David Dixon Real Estate, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, McCall Insurance Services, New Horizon’s Child Care Inc, PDQ Chicken, PENTA, Subway at Tanglewood Commons, Novant Health Twin City Pediatrics and Waste Management

Many local businesses donated door prizes for our volunteers including Accu-Wrench Automotive, Cimarron Steak House, Clemmons Courier, Clemmons Kitchen, Dairi-O, Hip Chics Boutique, LT Nails & Spa, Mama Mia Italian Ice, Mossy’s, PDQ Chicken, Qwik Lube, Skateland USA, Sonic, Subway at Tanglewood Commons, Villa Grill, and Wilson’s Flower Shoppe. Without the generous support of the business community and our local residents, this yearly celebration of keeping Clemmons clean would not be possible.
