Clemmons Moravian Church has been working closely with Easton Elementary School for the past five years with its “Empty Lockers Project.” The church provides school supplies for the students and for their classrooms throughout the school year making sure each student has the necessary means to complete their studies and projects. Teachers are supplied with Kleenex, hand sanitizer and wipes for their classrooms.
Clemmons Moravian also keeps the student clothes closet as full as possible especially during the cold winter months. There is a continual need for boys’ and girls’ clothing to include coats, pants, undergarments, socks, belts, shirts, pants, hats, gloves, and shoes.
With more than 600 students, Clemmons Moravian provides homemade cookies for each student during special occasions such as fall celebration, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter. The church feels all children should be celebrated and feel the experience of love, sharing and giving, especially during special holidays.
Clemmons Moravian provided breakfast for the teachers first day back on Monday, Aug. 19, and delivered school supplies on Friday, Aug. 23.
