The Titans are ringing in the new year and the new decade this week while still enjoying winter break, which will end Monday.
The start of a new year signals the end of first semester fast approaching, as well as the dreaded exam week. For senior West Forsythians, the new year signifies that graduation is only months away.
On Thursday, Jan. 9, West will be hosting an “Explore the Possibilities” event for all rising freshmen and their families looking to get to know West Forsyth. Attendees can expect to learn valuable information about West’s extraordinary academics, athletics, and extracurriculars. This event will be held in the Anderson Performing Arts Center (APAC) and will begin at 6 p.m.
Students interested in being a part of the drama department’s spring musical “Brigadoon” can audition the week of Jan. 6-10. Contact Mrs. Hubbard in the APAC for more details.
Juniors planning to enroll in a four-year college by the fall of 2021 should consider applying for the Coolidge Scholarship. Inspired by 30th President Calvin Coolidge, the Coolidge Scholarship is a competitive program that offers a full-ride scholarship to academically and principally strong students. Applications should be submitted online by Thursday, Jan. 16.
Seniors, remember that Senior Day has been rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 31. Senior fees and cap and gown order forms will not be due until this date, please do not lose these forms.
Happy new year, and go Titans!
