The Titans are wrapping up exams this week with a nice two-day week. There was no school on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and will enjoy today and Friday off for teacher workdays, marking the end of the first semester. When the Titans return on Monday, they will be in for a new semester full of new classes and new schedules. Let’s see what the Titans are up to this week.
On Tuesday, the boys and girls varsity basketball teams will take on Glenn High School at Glenn at 7:30 p.m. Come out and support your Titans!
On Tuesday, there will be a meeting for seniors interested in attending the CIAA High School Day in Charlotte. This event hosts 13 colleges and universities from around the country and gives students the opportunity to be accepted and receive scholarship money on site. This trip will be on Wednesday, Feb 26; students should expect to leave West around 7 a.m. and return at 6 p.m. Only 50 seniors will be able to attend and all must come to the interest meeting on Tuesday. If you have any questions, contact Mr. White.
Spring sports tryouts will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 12, for all athletes participating in sports like baseball, softball, sand volleyball, track and field, and more. Students should have all paperwork submitted and have signed up with their respective coaches by noon on Friday, Jan. 31.
Go Titans!
