Johnathan and Michelle Hilliard, of Lexington, welcomed their first daughter, Alison Grace, on Wednesday, May 6. Alison arrived just in time for Mother’s Day and was the 2,000^th baby to be delivered at The Birth Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center which opened in July of last year.

At birth, Alison weighed 9 pounds and 1 ounce, and has four older brothers.

Michelle encourages other expectant mothers to take the necessary precautions needed at this time to keep their babies and themselves healthy. She is grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at The Birth Center who made her family feel safe, comfortable and informed.
