Lewisville man arrested on child pornography charges

FORSYTH COUNTY — Investigators with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Lewisville man on 20 charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators received a tip that an individual was downloading child pornography from the internet. On June 10, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence located at 970 Dawnlea Drive in Lewisville.
Ryan Michael Tyler, a 20-year-old white male, has been arrested and charged with 10 counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor. A person commits the offense of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor if he knowingly records, photographs, films, develops, or duplicates material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaged in sexual activity or distributes, transports, exhibits, receives, sells, purchases, exchanges, or solicits material that contains a visual representations of a minor engaged in sexual activity. A person commits the offense of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor if, knowing the character or content of the material, he possesses material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaging in sexual activity. Tyler has been released from the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. His court date is set for June 25.
