Novant Health opens new COVID-19 screening site in East Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM — Novant Health is expanding access to COVID-19 testing by opening a screening assessment center at Novant Health Today’s Woman OB/GYN, located at 2001 Today’s Woman Ave. NW, in Winston-Salem. The center will today and operate Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon.

Since COVID-19 arrived in our community, Novant Health has been proactive in meeting the testing needs of the Winston-Salem community, providing more than 15,000 COVID-19 tests in Forsyth County. Novant Health continues to monitor where additional resources are needed and is committed to providing access to care for all.

Respiratory assessment centers (RAC) are designed to test and treat patients experiencing moderate to severe respiratory symptoms associated with the coronavirus. Screening centers, which include mobile locations, evaluate patients with symptoms and will test patients, as clinically necessary.

Beginning Tuesday, June 16, Novant Health’s respiratory and screening assessment centers will operate as follows:

  • Highland Avenue Primary Care Clinic – 650 N. Highland Ave., Suite 120, Winston-Salem (RAC)
    • Operates 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Highland Oaks – 600 Highland Oaks Drive, Winston-Salem
    • Operates 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Thomasville – 903 Randolph St., Thomasville
    • Operates 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Waughtown – 656 E. Monmouth St., Winston-Salem (RAC)
    • Operates 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Novant Health’s Kernersville screening assessment center’s last day was June 12.
