Shredding event
Holy Family Catholic Church will host a shredder event from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Sept. 19, in the church parking lot at 4820 Kinnamon Road. Suggested donations are $5 per bag or file box, and checks may be made payable to the Knights of Columbus.
Drive-in church
Centenary United Methodist Church of Clemmons invites the community to its “drive-in church” at 10 a.m. Aug. 23. In this worship format, everyone will stay in cars, and cars will be spaced so that social distancing can be maintained. The Rev. Dr. Vincent Howell will preach the sermon, “The Place to Be,” based on Psalm 84. Everyone is invited to attend. Come and enjoy worship parked under the beautiful oak trees. Victory on the Frontline church service
Join Victory on the Frontline Church for Sunday morning worship service “victory@am” at 9 a.m. The new music and worship service will be led by teacher Tamara Koontz. Sunday schools start at 10 a.m. Traditional worship service with Pastor Lonnie Maines begins at 11 a.m. Starting Sunday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m., traveling evangelist and gospel entertainer Kenny Williamson will be the special guest, performing his holy spirited music and message.
