The Clemmons Farmers Market opened this year in a new location at the Jerry Long Family YMCA. It seemed a natural fit to be in the center of activity with weekend sports and exercise classes. Despite a different environment than anticipated, the farmers market has thrived in the new location.
With more than 20 registered vendors, the market draws over 300 customers each weekend. Products include fresh baked goods, candies, microgreens, kettle corn, pickles, sauces, jams, jellies, fresh flowers, soaps, lotions, pork, lamb, and a harvest of fresh produce each Saturday. The Clemmons Farmers Market is a producer-only market — farmers, growers, and bakers only sell items they make, bake or grow themselves.
Beginning last month, the market accepts one artisan each week. More information can be found at Clemmons.org/FarmersMarket.
The Clemmons Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA located at 1150 S Peace Haven Road in Clemmons. Go to the Clemmons Farmers Facebook page for weekly updates and news at facebook.com/clemmonsfarmersmarket. All customers and vendors of the market are practicing social distancing guidelines including face masks/coverings to comply with N.C. Executive Order 147.
