There are 17 new cases reported today. Over the weekend, there were 36 new cases and two deaths reported on Saturday and 38 new cases reported on Sunday. There have been 6,634 laboratory-confirmed cases and 86 deaths in Forsyth County. All cases reported by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health are Forsyth County residents. Of the 6,634, 5,901 are presumed recovered. The case count is subject to change throughout the day but will only be reported once per day in the daily briefing.
The public health director will provide a detailed briefing at 2 p.m. at the beginning of the Sept. 17 board of county commissioners meeting, which will be conducted remotely. The public can listen to and watch the meeting on WSTV-13 or go to https://www.cityofws.org/493/WSTV-13
