Centenary Church Clemmons to celebrate 137th church anniversary

The Centenary United Methodist Church in Clemmons will hold its 137th church anniversary/homecoming celebration on Sunday, Oct. 11. Centenary Church is located at 5280 Hampton Road. The Rev. Dr. Samuel Moore, district superintendent of the Yadkin Valley District of the United Methodist Church, will be the guest preacher. The service will be conducted using a “drive -in church” format. In this worship format, everyone will stay in cars, and cars will be spaced so that social distancing can be maintained. Service begins at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Come, celebrate and enjoy worship parked under the beautiful oak trees at Centenary Church Clemmons.
Founded in 1883, the church continues to be a mission-oriented church that seeks to share the Holy Bible and the love of Jesus Christ. It is active in the community, and serves a variety of ministries, including the Interfaith Alliance of Clemmons and Lewisville, sponsoring a monthly free clothing give away, local and oversees missions through its United Methodist Women group, senior ministries, and support of various food pantries.
