There have been 80 new cases and one death reported since yesterday’s briefing. Over the weekend, there were 154 new cases and two deaths reported on Saturday, and 81 new cases reported on Sunday. There have been 8,703 laboratory-confirmed cases and 119 deaths in Forsyth County. All cases reported by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health are Forsyth County residents. Of the 8,703, 7,468 are presumed recovered. The case count is subject to change throughout the day but will only be reported once per day in the daily briefing.

The public health director will provide a detailed briefing at 2 p.m. at the beginning of the Oct. 29 board of county commissioners meeting, which will be conducted remotely. The public can listen to and watch the meeting on WSTV-13 or go to https://www.cityofws.org/493/WSTV-13
