There are 146 new cases and three deaths reported since yesterday’s briefing. There have been 11,723 laboratory-confirmed cases and 156 deaths in Forsyth County. All cases reported by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health are Forsyth County residents. Of the 11,723, 9,585 are presumed recovered. The case count is subject to change throughout the day but will only be reported once per day in the daily briefing.
The public health director will provide a detailed briefing at 2 p.m. at the beginning of the Nov. 26 board of county commissioners meeting, which will be conducted remotely. The public can listen to and watch the meeting on WSTV-13 or go to https://www.cityofws.org/493/WSTV-13
Public Health Director Joshua Swift commented, “The Forsyth County Department of Public Health will host the following no-cost COVID-19 community testing events this week:
- Saturday, Nov. 21, at FTCC Transport-Tech Ctr, 4255 N. Patterson Avenue, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Monday, Nov. 23, at Winston Lake YMCA, 901 Waterworks Rd, from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. For more information visit www.forsyth.cc/covidupdate”
