CLEMMONS — The Clemmons Community Foundation has announced that Greg Keener has joined the foundation as program officer. Keener brings more than 15 years of experience working in both development and educational programming with Triad nonprofit organizations and higher education, including Piedmont Land Conservancy, WFU’s 88.5 WFDD Public Radio for the Piedmont, and Guilford College. He’s also been an active community volunteer, serving with numerous organizations during that same time including programs of the Forsyth County Library, the Piedmont Environmental Alliance and Crisis Control Ministry. Keener currently serves on the board of the Laurel Ridge Camp, Conference, and Retreat Center and has been an active Rotarian since 2015, currently a member of the Technology Committee for his club. Keener earned his undergraduate degree from Guilford College in computer information systems with a concentration in nonprofit management and a master of arts in higher education administration from Appalachian State University. He graduated from Leadership Winston-Salem in 2007. When not working or volunteering, you are likely to find Keener with his wife, Molly, and son, Rex, at the local bookstore, on a hiking trail, or running 5k race.
