The morals of a nation

Something is happening in America that is un-American. We are being told to shut up.

Social media platforms run by Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Jack Dorsey (Twitter), Susan Wojcicki (YouTube), plus companies such as Amazon (Jeff Bezos), are denying us one of the basic freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment – freedom of speech. Yes, they can do as they like as corporations, but does that make it right?

And other corporations and educational institutions are denying people jobs and positions if they say things they don’t agree with.

We cannot survive as a free republic without our basic freedoms, based on high moral standards. Charles Carroll, a founding father, said, “Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time.” Our morals have gone steadily downhill because for decades we have driven God out of our government, our education, our society and our consciences. The totalitarian behavior spreading across our nation, mentioned above, is just one of many results.

A return to a nation “under God” will put us back on the right track toward morality and respect for our freedoms.
