Felicia Davis has been named area superintendent – south for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. Since September of 2020, Davis has served as a school improvement director for WS/FCS.
From 2009 to 2020, Davis worked as a principal at Mango Elementary in Hillsborough County, Florida. Prior to that, she served as the assistant principal of that same school for four years. Earlier in her career, Davis worked as a writing resource teacher, lead teacher, technology specialist and intermediate teacher in Hillsborough County.
Davis has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. She is currently working on a doctorate of education degree through the University of South Florida.
Davis has served as the interim area superintendent since March when Dr. Jesse Pratt was appointed to deputy superintendent. The WS/FCS Board of Education approved Davis as the official replacement for Pratt earlier this week. She started immediately.
