COVID vaccinations available this week, including at Truist Stadium

Forsyth County Department of Public Health is offering a variety of opportunities to get vaccinated, including before the Winston-Salem Dash’s game on Tuesday, where attendees can get a discounted ticket with free hot dogs.

COVID-19 vaccination will be available at Truist Stadium, 3 p.m.-7:15 p.m., on Tuesday, May 25, when the Dash will play the Hickory Crawdads at 7 p.m. Those who register for an appointment will receive a discount on a ticket for that evening’s game, which includes free hotdogs. Appointments are available at http://bit.ly/DashVaccine or 336- 360-5260.

Additionally, there will be a walk-up community vaccination event held at William C. Sims Recreation Center, 1256 Adler Street, from 9 a.m.-noon on Wednesday, May 26.

COVID-19 vaccination appointments continue to be held at the Public Health Department, 799 N. Highland Avenue, on Tuesday 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Thursday from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Appointments are available at Bit.Ly/FCNCCovidVaccine or by calling 336-360-5260 from 8 a.m. -5 p.m. Monday-Friday. There will be no vaccinations Saturday because of the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Walk ups are also taken at the Public Health Department during immunization clinic hourswhich are Monday-Wednesday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The clinic is closed for lunch from noon-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Vaccinations are free and no ID or insurance is needed. The single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine, for ages 18 and up, will be an option while supplies last. The two-dose Pfizer vaccine, for ages 12 and up, is also currently available.
