Busy schedule ahead for Forsyth County I-40 project

WINSTON-SALEM — The contractor for the Interstate 40 pavement rehabilitation and bridge preservation project in Forsyth County has planned a full schedule of work upcoming.
Weather permitting, the following closures will be in place nightly, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.:
June 13-15: Two of three lanes of I-40 West from just west of Jonestown Road (mile marker 186) to the bridges over Muddy Creek (mile marker 185).
June 11 and June 13-16: Two of three lanes of I-40 West from Main Street (mile marker 193) to just west of Stratford Road (mile marker 188.5).
June 13-17: One of two lanes in each direction of Hanes Mall Boulevard near its interchange with I-40.
June 16-17: One of three lanes of I-40 East from Lewisville Clemmons Road (mile marker 184) to the bridge over Muddy Creek (mile marker 185).
Drivers should watch for signage indicating the lane reductions, slow down and be mindful of crews working near the travel lanes in these areas.
