Storytime (virtual) — Thursdays from 10-10:30 a.m. Join in for stories, rhymes, songs and activities designed to improve early literacy. Recommended for children ages 2-5 years and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome.

Paw Print Search & Find — July 1-8, Lewisville Branch Library. Search the children’s area for the hidden images. Find them all and get a prize. All ages. Prizes provided by the Friends of the Lewisville Branch Library.

Caring for Pets (virtual) — Thursday, July 1, from 3- 3:30 p.m. Learn what you need to know before getting a pet and how to care for one in this live virtual presentation by the Forsyth Humane Society. Explore the amazing lifecycles of insects and amphibians, investigate the vast physical changes these animals go through in their journey of life, and how the North Carolina Zoo is saving many of these magical species. Tuesdays at Two Book Club (virtual) — Tuesday, July 6 at 2 p.m. The Tuesday at Two book club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. July title: “A Long Petal of the Sea” by Isabel Allende. Call 336-703-2940 for more information.

Yoga for Beginners (in-person outdoors and virtual) — Friday, July 2 and 16, at 9 a.m. Join in outside at the library or from home for two free yoga sessions to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. The class is facilitated by local yoga instructor Tracy O’Neill of YogaCentrix. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library. In the event of rain, the class will be virtual only. North Carolina Aquarium Tour at Fort Fisher (virtual) — Tuesday, July 20, at 2:30 p.m. Join in for a behind-the-scenes tour guided by aquarium educators that will encompass areas of the aquarium not usually seen during in-person tours. One of North Carolina’s most popular attractions, the aquarium provides stunning exhibits of aquatic environments and wildlife that will connect you with the natural world. Animal Services of Forsyth County: Not Your Grandpa’s Dogcatcher (virtual) — Friday, July 23, at 11 a.m. Join in to learn about all the ways (old and new) that Animal Services officers care for four-legged friends in Forsyth County. Included will be information about the animal shelter and the kinds of animals that are placed there and the kinds placed at the Forsyth Humane Society.
