Charges brought in shooting of Lewisville man

FORSYTH COUNTY — Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Investigators have charged an individual with voluntary manslaughter in the death of a Lewisville man shot and killed earlier this month.
On Sunday, Aug. 8, deputies responded to a shooting on Hauser Road in Lewisville. The shooting occurred after an altercation. The victim was identified as Billy Darryl Glenn, Jr., 25, of Lewisville.
Caleb Reid Cox, 21, of Mocksville, was arrested and charged with felony voluntary manslaughter, misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon after consuming alcohol. He also sustained injuries from the altercation and was arrested upon his release from medical treatment on Tuesday, Aug. 24. Cox appeared before a magistrate and received a $15,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9.
