Last week was filled with rain and the infamous flooding of West’s campus, so this week Titans are making sure to appreciate the sunny and warm weather. October means the Titans are scrambling to wrap up the first quarter which ends on Oct. 22.
Picture make up day is Oct. 19 in the old gym. Career center students should report to the old gym once they get to West. Put on your best smiles and dapper outfits.
Last week’s football game was a tough lost for the Titans against the Reagan Raiders with the final score 15-9. This week’s game will be at Davie County High School and students will pull out their camo attire to cheer in the student section.
A few senior nights are coming up for fall sports, the fastest approaching will be Oct. 21 for Field Hockey vs Reagan. JV plays at 5:30 p.m. and varsity starts at 7 p.m., and a free shirt and free admission will be given to the first 100 students to attend the match. This game will be the last for many seniors so it’s important to have a big crowd cheering them on.
West letterman jackets are ready to be ordered! The letterman jacket vendor will be at West in the cafeteria lobby Friday. A $175 deposit is required, only cash will be taken or its an option to cash app: $cewitten, or venmo:@Claire-Witten to pay the deposit, delivery will be in 4-6 weeks. If the student already has a letter, bring it to the vendor in a Ziploc bag, with the name and order attached. The order form can be found in the Titan weekly announcement. No refunds or exchanges will be administered.
