Baseball team last remaining unbeaten team in CPC heading into the week; girls lacrosse remains perfect

Baseball team on top of CPC
The Titans’ baseball team remained perfect after picking up two Central Piedmont 4-A wins against Glenn last week to improve to 10-0 (6-0) heading into this week’s games.
West nipped Glenn 2-1 last Tuesday and then won a 9-0 shutout last Friday. In 10 games this season, the Titans have surrendered just 10 runs and pitched six shutouts.
The Titans will square off with Reagan (7-3 overall, 5-1) in games this week. The Raiders are currently tied for second in the league standings with East Forsyth.
The junior varsity team bounced back from their only loss of the season with two wins against Glenn last week as well, downing the Bobcats 8-0 on Tuesday and 3-0 on Thursday to run their overall record to 8-1.
Girls lacrosse team remains unbeaten
The varsity girls lacrosse team ran their winning streak to 10 games after picking up three wins last week, including a 10-9 squeaker against Reynolds last Thursday.
The Titans improved to 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference after also posting wins against East Forsyth 17-6, and Mount Tabor, 13-4.
The Titans’ defense remains steadfast, allowing just 38 goals in 10 games.
West has games against Reagan, Northwest Guilford and Glenn this week.
Girls soccer posts two shutout wins last week
The Titans’ girls soccer team also had an impressive week on the field last week after posting two shutout wins.
West beat CPC rival Mount Tabor 5-0 last Monday and posted the same score in a nonconference win against North Davidson on Wednesday.
West has two conference games on the schedule this week, against Glenn on Monday and against Reagan on Wednesday.
The Titans improved to 3-3-1 overall.
The JV team has won two straight after also posting shutout wins last week. West beat Atkins 1-0 and Burlington Williams 1-0 on Wednesday to improve to 2-2-1.
Boys lacrosse picks up win against East Forsyth
The boys lacrosse team went 1-2 last week, picking up a CPC win against East Forsyth last Tuesday before losing to Reynolds, 13-6, last Thursday and then to Mount Tabor, 11-6, last Friday.
The Titans are now 5-7 overall and 2-5 in league play and have games against Atkins, Grimsley and Glenn this week.
Titans take second in recent CPC golf match
The West Forsyth boys golf team finished in second place during Monday’s Central Piedmont 4-A Conference match at Salem Glen.
The Titans posted a team score of 157 to finish 12 strokes behind Reynolds.
Mason Beshears had the top individual score with a 37. Logan Garrison shot 39, Zach Liu shot 40, Jack McCarthy and Braden Gay fired 41’s and Daniel Stamey carded a 47.
The Titans are currently in second place through four matches in the season standings with a score of 625, 52 strokes behind Reynolds.
