After two long years, the drama club at Clemmons Middle School was finally able to perform its production of Aladdin Jr. last Friday and Saturday night at the West Forsyth High School Auditorium.
The CMS Drama Club had originally planned the production to take place in 2020 until COVID came along and temporarily spoiled the fun. Directors Stephenie Maratta, a social studies teacher and sponsor of the club, and Kevin Periman, who teaches chorus, invited cast members who were students at Clemmons two years ago and were supposed to be part of the show in 2020, on stage to be recognized before the show last Friday night. There were about a dozen former members of the club who showed up on stage to a rousing standing ovation.
Shortly after, the audience was treated to a vibrant show that made the fictional kingdom of Agrabah come to life.
Kudos to the cast and crew for the stellar performances!
