National Library Week — April 24-28
Library Trivia — In Celebration of National Library Awareness Week
Put your library knowledge to the test to try to win a “sweet” prize. Correct entries will be placed in a drawing to win a prize.
Take a Shelfie! — Library/reading photo props will be available for customers to use to take photos of themselves in their favorite spot or section of the library. Customers will be able to share those photos with staff to be posted on social media or turned into a button. #fcpl #nlw
Library Search & Find — Search the children’s Area for hidden images. Find them all and get a prize. For all ages. Free and open to the public. Call 336-703-2940 for more information.
Child programs
Toddler Storytime
• Starting Monday, April 10, at 10 a.m.
Join in on Mondays for stories, fingerplays, songs and activities designed for small children. Recommended for children ages 0-2 and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Toddler storytime will meet on Mondays at 10 a.m. For more information, call 336-703-2940.
Preschool Storytime
• Starting Tuesday, April 11, at 10 a.m.
Join in on Tuesdays for stories, fingerplays, songs and activities designed for small children. Recommended for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Preschool storytime will meet on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. For more information, call 336-703-2940.
Earth Day Take & Make Craft
• April 17-21

Nature Notebooks
• Through May 31
• Lewisville Branch Library
Recommended for ages 5-11
Pick up your Nature Notebook at the Lewisville Branch Library (while supplies last). Participants will find plants that are native to N.C. in the wild and draw them. When they have drawn a plant in each category required, participants will bring their notebooks to the Lewisville Branch Library for a prize. Participants will have until May 31 to complete their notebooks. Each Nature Notebook comes with a packet of wildflower seeds. Presented by Stormwater Smart of The Piedmont Triad Regional Council. Teen programs
Lewisville-Clemmons Teen Advisory Board Meeting
• Tuesday, April 11, at 5 p.m.
• Clemmons Branch
The Lewisville-Clemmons Branch Teen Advisory Board is made up of teen volunteers from the Lewisville and Clemmons area. The board meets once a month, alternating between the Lewisville and Clemmons branches and meets on the second Tuesday (during the school year) each month to discuss ways to improve both branches. The Teen Advisory Board helps to plan programs, create displays and suggests resources that the library should purchase. Blackout Poetry
• April 10 – 21
• Lewisville Branch
Are you a poet but don’t know it? From April 10-21, create your own blackout poetry from materials supplied in the teen corner. Blackout poetry is created when words on a page are omitted rather than added. Once poems are completed, the library will display them in the teen corner. Come try it out and see what you can create! Yoga for Beginners

Join in at the Lewisville Branch auditorium or from home for two free yoga sessions to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. Gardening Series: Fresh Food in Your Backyard

Want to grow beautiful, healthy and delicious edibles? No matter what you are looking to harvest, this class will help you navigate through the delicious possibilities available to the home grower. The class will share tips, techniques and advice to get you started.

Belly Dancing for Beginnings

Get your shimmy on! Learn the basic moves of this beautiful dance form as people of all ages come together to promote health, happiness and community. Color & Coffee

Witchy Washi & What Not Crafts
