WINSTON-SALEM — A West Forsyth High School standout football star is joining a host of players from the National Football League to lead a camp at Mt. Tabor High School next month.
Retired New Orleans Saint running back Tyrone Anthony will be among the names at the Pro Legends football camp, which is tailored towards teens aged 14-18.
The event will be held at Mt. Tabor High School, located at 342 Petree Road in Winston-Salem, from 8 a.m. to noon.
The camp brings together former and current NFL players with ties to the Winston-Salem area like Anthony and former Wake Forest University and current Cincinnati Bengal Nate Gilliam with more planning on attending. Pro Legends was first held in Nashville, where a camp will be held at the same time.
The goal of the camp is to allow current football players to learn from people who have reached the top of the sport, and who will teach camp participants valuable life lessons as well as football skills.
All camp participants will receive lunch, shirts, promotional items, as well as the opportunity for prizes. To register, go to givebutter.com/ProLegendsWS.
