Dungeons & Dragons Meetup Group
- Sept. 11 and 25 at 3 p.m.

Ever wanted to learn to play Dungeons & Dragons? Are you an experienced player who would like a place to meet up and have adventures? Join the Lewisville Branch Dungeons & Dragons meetup group. The group will have an experienced Game Master to teach those who want to learn. Character sheets and dice will be provided. All meetups are from 3-5 p.m. in the Lewisville Branch auditorium. Belly Dancing for Beginners

Get your shimmy on. Learn the basic moves of this beautiful dance form as the class brings people of all ages together to promote health, happiness and community. Hook & Loop Group

Come and join yarn crafters who like to knit, crochet, embroider and such. Guests can bring their own project to work on or use some simple supplies and patterns we will have on hand. All skill levels are welcome. The group shares each other’s company and maybe a tip or two about a project. No formal instruction. Yoga for Beginners

Getting started with fishing

Do you want to learn how to fish or brush up on fundamentals? Join in at the Lewisville Branch as Trevor Lemon of the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will be the presenter. This program is intended to provide first time and novice anglers with a basic and working knowledge of fishing equipment and techniques. Information about different types of fishing rods, reels, bait and lures will also be discussed, as well as how to set up a rod, make hook selections, tie a knot and bait a hook. Witchy Washi & What Not Crafts

Join in to learn how to make fun crafts with washi tape and/or other supplies. This month, the class will be making fairy teacups. Participants will need to bring their own teacup. “Welcome to Medicare”

Want to know more about Medicare and optional Medicare plans? Join in at the Lewisville Branch as The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem will offer an in-person workshop for individuals turning 65 (as well as those who already have Medicare) to learn about the different insurance options available, including “Original Medicare,” Medicare prescription drug programs, Medicare supplements and Medicare Advantage plans.
The session is designed to explain and clarify the Medicare sign-up process and educate attendees on how to make smart choices. The Shepherd’s Center is the Forsyth County coordinating site for the Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) which is a division of the NC Department of Insurance. Trained SHIIP counselors will present the session and be available to answer general questions. Registration is required.
