Multiple Titans place in county track meet

WINSTON-SALEM — The West Forsyth boys and girls indoor track team represented the Titans well during a recent meet on Dec. 7.
Two relay teams finished in the top of their field.
A team consisting of Tatum Snow, Abby Reutinger, Lily Baugh and Dempsey Burgess-Baldi captured gold in the 4×400 relay with a time of 4:33.02.
Colby Groce, Max Leonard, Shane Cornett and Jonah LeGrande bested all boys competition in the 4×800 relay with a time of 8:42.64.
Three of those runners finished second on a relay team in the 4×400 event as Leonard, Cornett, Groce and Dylan Williamson finished with a time of 3:54.99
Individually, Hope Newsome finished first in triple jump and Noelle Childs finished first in pole vault. Ellen Haggstrom took silver in the pole vault. Meanwhile, Madelin Betson captured second place in the high jump.
On the boys side, Sean Davis earned a bronze in high jump.
In the girls 1000 meter race, Baugh finished in second place with a time of 3:12. Reutinger finished third in the 1600 meter race with a time of 5:40.58.
