CLEMMONS — Authorities are currently investigating a homicide after a man died from gunshot wounds on Monday.

According to a release from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call regarding a man with possible wounds to his abdomen on the corner of Blue Bonnet Lane and Bridal Path in Clemmons. The call came in at approximately 2 p.m.

According to the sheriff’s office statement, upon arrival, deputies located one male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies reportedly administered CPR until relieved by Forsyth County EMS. However, the victim died from his wounds.

At this time, the investigation is on-going and the victim’s identity has not been released. More information will be made public as it is provided by law enforcement.
