Don’t miss the chance to honor the amazing volunteer in your life. Whether it’s a colleague, friend or neighbor, we want to make sure they join the ranks of past winners, including “Nanook, the Big White Bear” (a service dog) and “Mr. Turtle” (a.k.a. Joseph Turner, a beloved volunteer at Kimberley Park Elementary).
Past winners have also included large companies (HanesBrands) and small businesses (Pete’s Family Restaurant) as well as civic and church groups. Your favorite volunteer or group could be next.
For decades, the Forsyth County Governor‘s Volunteer Service Awards have recognized amazing volunteers for all of the work they do in the community and they can do the same for the volunteers you know. Don’t forget, you must take the first step and nominate them before the Feb. 9 deadline. Please don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity for those that give so much to the community.
All nominees will be invited to attend the awards breakfast on May 7 at Novant’s Forsyth Health Conference Center for free. Contact Casey Capstick at caseycapstick@handsonNWNC.org with any questions or concerns.
