Forsyth County to accept funding applications from community groups

Forsyth County Government will accept applications for special appropriations funding for fiscal year 2024-2025 starting on Monday, Jan. 29.
As a part of its annual budget, Forsyth County provides funding for non-profit agencies to provide community services to Forsyth County residents. This funding, called is for a period of one year. Funding requests are evaluated and approved on a year-by-year basis by the board of commissioners during the budget process. Applications are due Feb. 26 at noon.
- Jan. 29-Feb. 26: Open application period
- Early June: Public hearing on proposed budget
- June 6-27: Possible adoption of budget ordinance
- July 1-June 30, 2025: Term of service for all approved programs

The limited budget for appropriations is open to non-profits who provide social, artistic, cultural or economic development services for Forsyth County residents. Emphasis should be on a specific amount requested and on new services that will be provided.
