Events: 

• Wheels and Squeals will be held on April 13 from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Morgan Elementary School. Kids will be entertained by an array of impressive vehicles, from big trucks to first responder cars and everything in between. Bring your bikes for a noon ride around the Village Point Greenway. Don’t forget those helmets. Food trucks, activities and more — you may even hear more than kids squeal — think pigs.  Emit’s Farm and Adventure Park will be on hand with a petting zoo.
• Coffee with a Cop will be held April 16 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Chick-fil-A in Clemmons.
• Clemmons E-Recycle will be held on April 20  from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Clemmons Public Works Facility.
• Clemmons Community Day and Clemmons Farmers Market Pop-Up will be held on April 20, at the Jerry Long Family YMCA.  Join us early at 8:30 a.m. for the Farmers Market and then enjoy Community Day with a 10 a.m. start time. All festivities end at 2 p.m.

Farmers Market:

• Several vendors are offering off season preorders and weekend pickup at Village Hall. Go to clemmons.org/preorders for more info.

Employment:

• The village of Clemmons currently has an opening for public works equipment operator. Find out more at clemmons.org/jobs. 

Meetings:

• The regularly scheduled council meeting  on March 25 has been cancelled due to there being no business to discuss. The next scheduled regular meeting will be April 8, at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.

•  The regularly scheduled planning board meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.

 Public works:

• When available, mulch can be loaded at 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday – please note mulch is only loaded at these times and not throughout the day. Mulch is not available on rainy days. All trucks and trailers must have side walls and be covered (example: with a tarp) before leaving the yard. For mulch availability call Public Works at 336-766-9170. These services are limited to Village of Clemmons residents, and you may be asked to show ID.

Spring 2024 Bulk Item Pick-up:

• The 2024 Spring Bulk item pickup will begin on Monday, March 18, 2024, for residents on the west side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road. Bulk item pickup for residents on the east side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road will begin the week of March 25.

Stormwater: 

• Staff will be completing drainage outfall inspections throughout the Village of Clemmons as part of the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s NPDES Phase II permit throughout the months of December 2023 – March 2024 during the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (weather depending). Activities may include visual observations, photography, creek walking, and water quality sampling, primarily at drainage pipe outlets into ditches and water bodies. All Stormwater personnel will be wearing reflective vests, driving marked vehicles, and carrying identification.
