CLEMMONS — Beginning on Tuesday, April 9, the new traffic pattern at West Forsyth High School will go into effect.
“Cars stacking up and stopping on Lewisville-Clemmons Road for drop-off/pick-up pose a major threat,” a release from the village said. “You will notice ‘NO PARKING OR STOPPING ANY TIME’ signs posted along that portion of Lewisville-Clemmons Road.”
Following the school’s spring break, violators will be cited by officers enforcing this law.
Multiple agencies have been meeting for two years to find a solution to this safety hazard,” the release said. “We would like to thank the NCDOT, WSFCS administrators, West Forsyth administrators, traffic engineers and Forsyth County Sheriffs Office for all of the time invested in a solution to keep students, drivers, and pedestrians safe.
“Our goal is not to issue citations, but to give drivers adequate time and information to be in compliance with following the law.”
