New Forsyth County manager holding listening session to meet community

CLEMMONS — New Forsyth County Manager Shontell Robinson will be holding a series of listening sessions, to meet the community and hear feedback from county residents over the course of the next two months, with stops planned in Clemmons and Lewisville.
All meetings will be held from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at various branches of the county’s public libraries.
Robinson will be at the Clemmons Branch Library on July 30 and at the Lewisville Branch Library on Aug. 6.
The Clemmons Branch Library is located at 6365 James St., Clemmons. The Lewisville Branch Library is located at 6490 Shallowford Road, Lewisville.
Both meetings will be held from 6-7:30 p.m.
The remainder of Robinson’s schedule includes:
- Walkertown Library — Tuesday, July 9
- Central Library — Thursday, July 18
- Carver Library — Wednesday, July 17
- Malloy Jordan Library — Thursday, Aug. 1
- Kernersville Library — Tuesday, Aug. 13
- Rural Hall Library — Wednesday, Aug. 14
- Southside Library — Tuesday, Aug. 20
- Reynolda Manor Library — Wednesday, Aug. 21
Each meeting takes places from 6-7:30 p.m.
Robinson will be the new manager of Forsyth County effective July 1. She has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and business management functions at public, private and nonprofit organizations. She was hired as director of Forsyth County Human Resources in 2014 and promoted to assistant manager and deputy manager in 2020. She will be the first African American and first woman to serve as manager of Forsyth County.
