Clemmons man charged in road rage incident

CLEMMONS — On Aug. 6, investigators with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Investigative Services Division, in conjunction with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) SWAT team, executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 1700 block of Lakefield Drive in Clemmons.
The operation was conducted in connection with a warrant for arrest of Rodel Regis Noya Jr., a 42-year-old Asian male.
In the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 3, Noya was allegedly involved in a road rage incident that resulted in Noya brandishing a firearm and pointing it at
another individual.
Noya was apprehended without incident on outstanding charges, including Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault by pointing a gun, and going armed to the terror of the people.
Following his arrest, Noya was transported to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center (FCLEDC). Noya is currently being held without bond, he was scheduled to appear in court for his first appearance on August 7, 2024, at 9 a.m., in Courtroom 205.
“Road rage is never acceptable at any time or place,” Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough Jr. said. “We must remember that decisions made out of rage will always have negative consequences. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office will always respond to issues that threaten the safety and harmony of our community.”
