CLEMMONS — Monique Hairston, a certified nursing assistant and medication aide at Lutheran Services Carolinas’ (LSC’s) Trinity Elms senior living community, received the organization’s Loyal Service Award for 2024.
The peer-nominated award recognizes teammates who fulfill LSC’s mission by serving clients and residents in an extraordinary way. Only seven out of more than 2,500 teammates from across the Carolinas are honored each year.
Hairston has been with LSC since 2015 and was nominated by Trinity Elms Director of Nursing Murphy Oliver and Director of Independent Living Jessica Swanson.
“Monique demonstrates professionalism, compassion and attention to detail in all aspects of her work, inspiring her colleagues to do the same,” her nominators said. “She serves joyfully and creates a positive and uplifting environment. She is a treasure to our residents and their families.”
Hairston’s award was presented at a luncheon held on June 20 at Trinity Oaks senior living community in Salisbury.
“Our Loyal Service Award winners are the heart and soul of LSC,” said LSC President and CEO Ted W. Goins Jr. “They embody our organizational vision, laid out in John 10:10: ‘I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.'”
