Events:

  • The Dirty Dozen 5K and Fun Run Obstacle Mud Run and Clemmons Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14. Family friendly event including a fun run and free party. Register to participate in the run. Enjoy DJ, food trucks, beer pit, farmers market, games and more from 8 a.m.-noon. Go to clemmons.org/Oktoberfest for more information.
  • The Fall Medicine Drop will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Clemmons Public Works (3800 Dillon Industrial Drive). This will be a drive-thru service to dispose of your expired, unwanted or unused prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications — no questions asked — during Operation Medicine Drop.
  • The village of Clemmons would like to invite your business or organization to be a part of the 2024 Monster Dash and Goblin Hop on Sunday, Oct. 20. (Rain Date: Oct. 27). Host a table around the greenway while kids dressed in Halloween costumes walk the greenway to trick or treat and complete the Goblin Hop. Fall 2024 bulk item pickup:

The 2024 fall bulk item pickup will begin on Monday, Sept. 16, for residents on the west side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road. Bulk item pickup for residents on the east side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road will begin the week of Monday, Sept. 23.

Farmers market:

  • The 2024 Clemmons Farmers Market Season is here — Saturdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Jerry Long Family YMCA. It will be located in the field adjacent to Peace Haven Road and across from the pool parking lot.

Employment:

  • The village of Clemmons currently has an opening for public works equipment operator. Find out more at clemmons.org/jobs.

Meetings:

  • The regularly scheduled council meeting will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. in council chambers.
  • The regularly scheduled planning board meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. in council chambers.

Public works:

  • Limb pickup resumed in March. Limbs should be placed on the edge of your street by 7 a.m. on Monday morning of the following schedule between March and November. East of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Winston-Salem side) — second full week of the month. West of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive (Tanglewood side) — first full week of the month.
  • When available, mulch can be loaded at 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Please note mulch is only loaded at these times and not throughout the day. Mulch is not available on rainy days. All trucks and trailers must have side walls and be covered (example: with a tarp) before leaving the yard. For mulch availability, call Public Works at 336-766-9170. These services are limited to village of Clemmons residents, and you may be asked to show ID.
