CLEMMONS — As part of its celebration of 150 years at 3700 Clemmons Road, Clemmons United Methodist Church is bringing a variety of musicians for inspirational concerts at 4 p.m. every Sunday in October. Concerts in the sanctuary are free and open to the public.

• Oct. 6: Organ Recital featuring Dr. Joby Bell, professor of Music in the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University and recording artist, playing works by Jean Sibelius, César Franck, J. S. Bach, Robert Schumann, William Walton and Marcel Dupre.
• Oct. 13: I Love to Tell the Story featuring Wake Forest Students. Recital of sacred song through the ages by students from the voice studio of Dr. Bryon Grohman and Lauren Winkleman. Grohman is director of music at Clemmons UMC.
• Oct. 20: A Temple to the Lord featuring North Davidson High School and Clemmons UMC choirs. Enjoy an afternoon of inspirational choral music celebrating the church’s 150th anniversary. The concert features a newly commissioned work “A Temple to the Lord” by Dan Locklair, internationally celebrated composer and Composer in Residence at Wake Forest University. Choirs directed by Ashley Baker and Bryon Grohman.
• Oct. 27: Inspiration by the 3:16 Philharmonic. Beautiful instrumental renditions of sacred music will fill the sanctuary when the 3:16 Philharmonic brings Christian classics and modern sounds to the final Oktoberfest concert. Music Director Randy Johnson leads this orchestra of talented musicians from across the community.
