Mrs. Jean Tise Livengood

Mrs. Jean Tise Livengood, 85, of Clemmons passed away Oct. 24 at her home. Jean was born in Clemmons on Dec. 1, 1938, to John and Ada Tise. She graduated in 1957 from the first graduating class of Southwest High School and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco International where she was an administrative assistant to many executives during her tenure. Jean was an active member of Center Grove Church and loved her Sunday school classmates dearly. She was an avid ACC basketball and NASCAR fan. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Gene Livengood, her parents and her sister Carol Woodruff (Frank). Surviving are her children, Scott Livengood (Margaret) of Burlington and Cynthia Livengood (Carolyn Smith) of Greensboro; her brother, Donald Tise of Sanford, Florida; three grandchildren, Virginia, Joseph and Caroline Livengood, and several nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service was held 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at Center Grove Church with Dr. Steve Corts officiating. Interment followed at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care of Winston-Salem. The family would like to extend a special thanks for the exceptional care provided by Juana Scherbeh, Bailey Blevins and the extended hospice staff. • Gerald Douglas Cobb, 54, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. 

• Henry “Hank” Foy Woodall, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

• Mr. Richard Arthur Dale, 89, died in Winston-Salem on Thursday, Oct. 24, after a brief illness. 

• James “Jay” Walter Manring, 64, went home to his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family in prayer on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024.

• Mrs. Betty Louise Lawther, 85, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at her home. 

• Mr. Grady Odell Posey, 87, of Advance passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024. 

• Pamela Lynn Ellinghausen Greenholt, 71, of Yadkinville passed away on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024.
