Closings and delays:

  • Village offices will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday and on Jan. 1, 2025, in observance of New Year’s Day.
  • Christmas and New Year’s trash pickup will be normal Monday and Tuesday and delayed one day for Wednesday – Friday (Pickups will be Monday & Tuesday and Thursday – Saturday) both weeks.
  • The Village Point Lake Greenway Pier is currently closed. Fishing along the banks will be allowed temporarily.

Christmas tree collection: 

  • Weather permitting, the village of Clemmons will pick up Christmas trees that have been placed at the edge of residents’ yards beginning Jan. 13, 2025, for areas west of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive, and starting Jan. 21 for areas east of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Middlebrook Drive.

Events:

  • The 4th annual Village of Clemmons Lego contest kicks off this week. Entries can be dropped off Jan. 24, 4-6 p.m. and Jan. 25, 10 a.m.-noon.

Farmers market: 

  • Applications for the 2025 Clemmons Farmers Market season will be available the beginning of January. An information session for anyone interested in becoming a vendor will take place on Jan. 25 at 9 a.m.

Employment:

  • The Village of Clemmons currently has job opportunities available. Find out more at clemmons.org/jobs. Current openings include Public Works Equipment Operator and Facilities & Landscape Technician.

Meetings:

  • The regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting will be held on Jan. 21 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of village hall, located at 3715 Clemmons Road, Clemmons.
  • A special meeting for council retreat will be held on Monday, Jan. 13, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Historic Broyhill building.
  • The regularly scheduled council meeting will be held on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of village hall, located at 3715 Clemmons Road, Clemmons.
