There are 189 new cases reported since yesterday’s briefing. There have been 17,224 laboratory-confirmed cases and 189 deaths in Forsyth County. All cases reported by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health are Forsyth County residents. Of the 17,224, 13,904 are presumed recovered. The case count is subject to change throughout the day but will only be reported once per day in the daily briefing.
The public health director will provide a detailed briefing at 2 p.m. at the beginning of the Dec. 17 board of county commissioners meeting, which will be conducted remotely. The public can listen to and watch the meeting on WSTV-13 or go to https://www.cityofws.org/493/WSTV-13

• Thursday, Dec. 17 , at EMS Triangle Station (Waughtown), 3260 Kernersville Road, from 12 p.m.-3 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 19 , at EMS Triangle Station (Waughtown), 3260 Kernersville Road, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
