As we enter a new week in this wild 2020-2021 school year, freshmen continue going to school in person, which started last week. Also happening last week, the announcement was made that Principal McAninch will be stepping down as principal of West Forsyth. The principal vacancy will be filled by current West Stokes High School principal, Kevin Spainhour. Spainhour is a very interactive, fun-loving principal who enjoys getting to know students and faculty. The new West Forsyth principal will be inheriting about three times the students and staff that he has at West Stokes, but he is ready for the challenge. He is expected to start March 1.
The girls basketball team is sitting at second place in the conference at 8-2 they are also 7-1 in conference play. They’ve been enjoying a two-game win streak and are looking to continue their success. The girls lacrosse team is so far undefeated, at an impressive 2-0. The boys on the other hand are still searching for their first win, at 0-3 as of now.
With a new principal coming to West, an exciting postseason for basketball coming soon and football season approaching, the Titans have a lot to be excited about.
