David Wesley Arrington

David Wesley Arrington passed away on Feb. 4, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. Arrington was born Jan. 17, 1942, in Winston-Salem to Paul and Edith Arrington. He was the kindest, most loving man you could ever meet. Arrington was very proud to be a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran where he served as MP and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He worked for over 35 years at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. Arrington had a tremendous love and talent for music and could play most any musical instrument, though he loved the saxophone and guitar the most. Over the years he played in many bands, such as David Harp and the Walkers and Southwind. On Jan. 24, 1986, he married the love of his life, Jo Ann. They have two daughters Sherry McGuire (David) and Crystal Spicer (Paul). His greatest thrill was spending time with his grandchildren, Matt, Alli and Quinn and his little dog Louie (his buddy). He leaves behind many lifelong friends. The family will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Support Care. Tracy LeeAnn Lawson Earhart

Tracy LeeAnn Lawson Earhart, 51, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021. She was born on March 7, 1969, in Forsyth County to the late Joe William Lawson Sr. and Geraldine Elizabeth Hudson Lawson. Earhart will be remembered for her spitfire attitude and hippie spirit. She was a rock and healer to everyone around her and she loved her job as a massage therapist. Earhart loved dragonflies, music concerts and traveling. She had visited all 50 states and visited every MLB stadium with her husband, Mike. Of all the things she was passionate about, her family was at the top of her list. She loved them all dearly! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate, Mike Easter. Earhart is survived by her four children, Bethany Engstrom (Paul), Kacey Hutchins, Spencer Easter and Leah Easter; her grandson and light of her world, Lucas Snider; and two brothers, Joe Lawson Jr. and Gary Lawson. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Earhart’s memory, may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Dorothy Tilley Fulp

Mrs. Dorothy Tilley Fulp, 95, of Clemmons, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021. Fulp was born in Forsyth County on June 13, 1925, to the late Garland Groomes Tilley and Lucy Mitchell Tilley. She was a member of Faith Chapel. Fulp was employed with the WS/FC School System in the food services department for more than 20 years. Following her departure from the school system, she went to work at Dewey’s Bakery, retiring as an assistant manager after 19 years of service. In addition to her parents, Fulp was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Fulp. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Fulp Yarbrough (Gary) of Mocksville; son, Garland Keith Fulp of Winston-Salem; two grandsons, Jason B. Yarbrough (J.J.) of Davidson County and J. Brooks Yarbrough of Florida; and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Ethan and Seth Yarbrough. Graveside services for Fulp were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at the Forsyth Memorial Park gazebo, with Pastor Eric Bradshaw and Mr. Tim Dunn officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Trinity Elms Health & Rehab, 7449 Fair Oaks Drive, Clemmons, NC 27012. William Harold Ledford Sr.

Mr. William Harold Ledford Sr., 89, of Clemmons, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021. Ledford was born in Forsyth County on May 11, 1931, to the late William Frank Ledford and Lille McCann Ledford. He served in the United States Army National Guard and retired from the city of Winston-Salem after 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, Ledford was preceded in death by his wife, Alta Welch Ledford. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Ledford Elliott; one son, William Harold Ledford Jr. (Andrea); three grandchildren, Chase Elliott, Amanda Merritt, and Lindsay Dahbour; and four great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Klein officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Union Ridge United Methodist Church, 3620 Old Lexington Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27107. Charles Michael Parrish

Charles Michael Parrish, of Pfafftown, was called home on Feb. 5, 2021, in to the loving arms of his Lord and savior Jesus Christ at the age of 74. Now free from all earthly pain and suffering, he is reunited with his father, Charles Gilliam Parrish, his mother, Katherine Tucker Parrish, his sister Linda Ferrara and beloved canine friend, Gabe. 

Parrish, a loving father and husband, is survived by his wife, Vickie, daughter Michele Carter (Alex), daughter Ashley Parrish (fiancé, Will Ireland), and his precious grandson whom he adored, Samuel Carter. He is also survived by aunts, two nieces, cousins and many friends.

His zest for life and learning was extended to the many people he impacted as a beloved teacher for Forsyth County schools. He later worked in investments and real estate, but found the greatest joy in working on his farm and spending time with his family making countless memories.

Parrish’s joyful presence and laughter will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him, but the family rejoices in knowing that his lifelong commitment to seeking, following and loving the Lord has now led him to be surrounded with the peace that passes all understanding. 

The family will be having a celebration of life service for friends and extended family at a later date to be determined.

Claude Wesley Wilmoth

Mr. Claude Wesley Wilmoth, 95, passed away Feb. 5, 2021. He was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Surry County to the late Eugene Delbert Wilmoth and Leathe Mae Hicks Wilmoth. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. After serving the military, he worked and retired from Hanes Dye and Finish with 46 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Pattie Wilmoth; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by one son, Larry Wilmoth (Deborah); grandchildren, Wesley Wilmoth (Kristin), Joshua Wilmoth; great-grandchildren, Selene and Wren Wilmoth; one sister, Annie Wall and one sister-in-law, Shirley Wilmoth.
